Might be the wrong section of the forum but it's summer so it's not like I'm cloggin anything up 
Just wondering if any of you guys have been to Snowbombing? Or are going next year, my mate is trying to convince me to go and I'm very tempted, though if I go on all of the holidays I want to do next year I will have had 6 weeks off work and spent about £7000 before the start of May......

I went in 2008 and 2009, and can't recommend it enough, it's an absolutely fantastic week. Mayrhofen is a brilliant resort anyway but add in the music aspect and its just amazing.
There are just so many different acts to see throughout the week, and of course the amount of partying going on means that the slopes are much quieter during the day. They have a fancy dress street party (usually on the Wednesday) which I think is the best event of the week, plus countless venues around the resort that get converted into night clubs to add to the clubs already there, so there's a huge amount of variety. And the forest party on the last Friday is not to be missed.
If you do go I'd thoroughly recommend the Arctic Disco. You have to pre-book and pay extra, but its a DJ night in huge igloos at the top of the Ahorn mountain, just so randomly bizarre. Also, a lot of the days on the slopes are designated fancy dress days, watching one of mates stack it and get rescued by Superman and Spiderman was just surreal.
It can be quite expensive but it's absolutely worth it; go for it. You might need a few days to recover when you're finished though...

If I can get the time off work and some other mental people to go with I'd be so up for it. It looks incredible.

anotherproblem, I went to the first 3 . . . and I'm in seriously 'old fart' territory . . . and had huge fun despite the abysmal organising. Now that's been fixed I've not heard a bad word about it beyond the hidden costs of your liver surgery and cochlea implant. I'd go again, but I might prefer a little more 'catholic' music choice . . . but what do I know, I'm nearly 60

It's one of the best weeks to go if you're not a rampaging party animal. The slopes are empty while everyone else is busy blearily wondering who the fat girl in bed with them is, and puking.

Masque, you're not really that far past it with partying though are you, I remember at the EoSB, I remember leaving one of the apartments with you at about 3am, giving you a glass of water and you saying you were going to bed, then at lunch finding the next day you'd decided to sod that and go back and carry on drinking!
I'm VERY tempted by this, it's not like anything is happening between now and Christmas, I'll get saving I think!
