I borrowed the telepeage of a friend a couple of years ago... I had no idea you actually had to slow down to use them and drove through the same peage you see in the video at 90kph... luckily I was following another car and the barrier had only half descended... it then stopped when it detected my car and started lifting up again and we made it under by a mm.
We went through too quick for the detector to register as well.
So don't worry about dents in the roof, do worry about being caught on a camera though.
The old geezer in the video was in Chambery court yesterday... a bit "David Millaresque" the police found hundreds of peage tickets in his apartment when they came to call. Doh!
