Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Laax free bus frequency

 Poster: A snowHead

I'm just about to book an apartment in Laax for Feb half term next

The apartment is called apartment Arena Alva. Its a bit of a trek from the apartment to the ski lifts in Laax, and means getting the free bus service to the lifts each day.

Has anyone use ithe bus service before and know how frequent they are?

Thanks.

Didn't have to use one when I was there about a year ago but Switzerland is famous of its reliability and frequencies of its public transport. In your case the Arena Alva is very near to Falera which is fully linked with Laxx and Flims. I would think the bus service to Falera is a better bet. The journeys to Laax/Flims chairlifts are longer. You can see the road marked with a bus from Arena Alva to Falera chairlift station with the Google map. Due to the close proximity of your accommodation to Falera I believe the frequency of the bus is no longer an issue because the skiing area of Falera is not small!

The main road from Flims to Falera is actually a tunnel most of the way.

Flims/Laax/Falera is a very nice place to be. I am sure you will have a wonderful time. By the way this resort does not refund the ski card (credit card size) because you can re-use year after year. One of the plots being used by many Swiss resorts to get their clients back on a regular basis. Think within the same canton the card may be accepted in another resort but not much use elsewhere.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Drluvski, I was at Laax this half term, may well be there again next. I didn't use the bus either but would echo saikee, Everything seemed really well organised (especially the post bus from Chur) so I'd be surprised if it is anything but efficient.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Looking at the piste map from this year there is a red run that goes back into Laax (rather than Laax Murschetg where the lifts are) so you will probably only need the bus one way.
