Hey Everyone
I'm interested in buying new boots, as my ability has increased by quite a size since I bought my first pair. I now know the difference between a good boot and the right boot, and would like to see someone who actually knows what they're talking about, especially since I have odd shaped feet. Planning on doing a full season, so need them to be spot on.
I remember reading in a topic a while ago, someone recommending a boot specific shop in the Yorkshire area I believe... What stuck out most was that people said it took them a good 3 hours to get the right boot fitted, and they even got tea and flapjacks  I think I also remember people saying they had a lot of specialist equipment which could be used to manipulate boot shapes and things. If anyone has any idea which shop this is, or has any other recommendations for a proper boot fitter, then it would be greatly appreciated.

Haha thankyou, I will look into it for sure. Its quite a way to travel unfortunately... Anyone know anywhere near(ish, willing to travel a decent amount) to Newcastle?

Murray, I can recommend Rivington Alpine. My fitting took longer than 3 hours, so allow plenty of time. Cups of tea were forthcoming during the fitting.

Could it have been Trevor in Pontefract at Crossley Tordoff? Its just off the main road, near the Haribo factory. Not boot specific but the boots and skis are in very different areas of the building, so its quite possible to miss the skis altogether.
Well worth a vist even from Newcastle as he's only five minutes down the road from Xscape, plenty of specialist equipment and some very decent prices, plus being in his workshops like a journey through ski history all in two rooms. Bought my boots from him, was going to go back and have them moulded after a couple of trips to the fridge but ended up going abroad on a late deal and getting it done in resort.
If you do stop in, you may have to ask for Trevor by name, as it does feel like a school outfitters until your shown upstairs/through the back!

I had mine done in Glide and Slide in Otley. I got an espresso, but no flapjacks. On the other hand, I did finish up with a pair of boots that fit me perfectly

I used Snow and Rock next to the Metro Centre, all went well and I ended up with perfect fit for strange shaped feet!

rjs, at 25 mile or so it is not exactly far. Much nearer than Leamington Spa (where I bought my boots) is to me.

I used SevenSports in Leeds. First question was "Tea or coffee? You'll be here a while." My boots are more comfortable than my slippers.
