Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Ex-Demo/Seconhand skis for use at Hemel Freestyle nights

Hi

I have been looking into doing some of the freestyle nights at Hemel - having spoken to them they advised that thay only have a few pairs of skis that they hire out on the freestyle night (on a first come, first served basis) as they don't want to damage their 'normal' hire skis.

I spent the weekend looking on e-bay for some second hand freestyle/freeride skis around the £100 mark so that I could go and not have to worry about there not being skis for me (I'm not likely to be able to get there for the start of the session), but didnt manage to find anything suitable. I don't intend to take these skis on holiday, would most likely just want to use them at Hemel, so something a few years old is not a problem.

Couple of questions:
1) am I likely to find said pair of skis for around £100?
2) does anybody know of any places that will be selling off ex-demo skis/ex-hire skis that may fit the bill?
3) any other suggestions?!
