i have spent a couple of hours (because i am a thick bstard) trying to get pics transferred from my cam to this thread but have given up...anyone who is interested can go onto SMZ and check them out...

snowpatrol, it's easy:
In SMZ click My Photos (top left of screen)
Click the photo you want to put in the forum, under the picture there's a line of code labelled "linked thumbnail", at the end of the line is an icon click that and a few more lines of code appear. Copy and Paste the one labelled "medium image" into the forum post. It should look like:

Repeat the last step for other photos, if your filenames are all similar e.g. rich1, rich2, rich3 etc. you can paste the same line and just change the filename in that: it's a bit quicker.
Click preview under the post and check it looks right, if so click submit.

rob@rar, you are spot on....day three...took a small kicker in the trees in heavenly...hit a rut which skewed the skies onto ice..tried to hockey stop but wouldn't take...smacked into a redwood at about 25-30mph...it was my head or my arm so the result was a smashed wrist...if i'd been on the XXL's i'd be dead....
