Poster: A snowHead

Sig other had a rollicking time on some Attivas last month. Am I right in saying that the Aires are a little stiffer, but effectively the same ski.
Any laydeez got a pair and can endorse or criticize?
She's above intermediate, 90%+ on-piste, not too aggressive, small turns preferred over long turns, likes bumps.
Is it rude to give a lady's vital stats? Sod it. 5'5" about 65kg. Thinking about the 154s.
Interested in hearing any views. On the skis, not on her vital statistics.

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

paulio, I have recently been in the same situation. Other half skis on some rented Attiva Aguas and loved them. Here's the thread:

I think the Aires are more of a beginner ski so may not be suitable but I stand to be corrected.
Cheers

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

paulio, no experience of the skis, sorry, but if she's upper-intermediate, I'd go a bit longer than 154. I'm 5'6"ish, 53kg, feel a little insecure on anything under 160 & am perfectly happy on a 174 even in a snowdome. Get her up to MK to test a few pairs (I say MK because the guys in EB are really helpful, & they don't charge for testing). Btw, I noticed a pair of Movement Black Rose on the test rack the other day - well worth a go

Hmmm, thanks.
She normally skis quite short. 156 last time.
Sounds like they might be a bit beginnery though. Might give up on these. Ta.
Jo225, I'm 6'1", 90kg and I prefer to ski a mite under 170cm.
174!!!!

Hi, I demoed the Aires 154 at MK and them really too light for me and flappy. I have similar stats to yr sig other- I'm 5'5 10st 10lb- Intermediate red runs+ , little off piste etc. I have been skiing 150 but now need a little longer.
I wanted a versatile ski so Just bought Scott Maya 155 All Mountain ski 50/50- tested at MK - really playful, fun, cool on long and short turns, cut through crud at edges. Just unsure how it will handle icier conditions.
Also tested-
Volkl Estrella 151 - loved these , more of a piste ski checked all over internet but everywhere only has 151 left in stock
Atomic Cloud 9 151- didnt make me smile- damper
Dynastar Active 153- again too light , fun but nothing to progress with
K2 one luv 149 too short to get a real feel for it- didnt feel the luv!!!
Dynastar exclusive fluid 158- would have been my second choice demoed the 158 and found it stable didnt struggle with length at MK and would have pushed myself to buy the 158 rather than 152
definatelyget her to test it if you have chance it was a lovely ski and at good prices online at moment .
