Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Just out of interest wondering if anyone has bought any storm skis and if so what models and what do you think?

I think you're asking the question - is it worth me stocking them as a retailer?

I'd say yes, the David brothers seem to have been pretty proactive in demoing them in the UK and IME they are pretty nice skis. There is obviously an education piece for you as a retailer to do for a punter who walks in expecting to buy a pair of Solly or Rossi though.

I'm running with the storms for another year but haven't sold a single pair this year...you wonder how much u can support a brand if it doesn't sell! its just a rack space issue! haha

fatbob, I agree they seem to be working hard plugging the brand but I'm not seeing it come as sales, I must admit I haven't had chance to ski the skis (way too much to do on ski tests) but they look like they will work... To me they don't look like punter friendly skis though... they are top end...people that buy top end skis know what they want and come in and buy it!

Ahh well!

I demoed the Inferno and liked them very much. Way over my budget though.

apart from supporting the (British) little guy, why should I buy these over, say, some Dynastars?
for me, they fall between two stools - too "niche" for fatbob's guy expecting to buy some sollies or rossis; but nothing really interesting about them to attract someone after a top end ski away from the dynstars, rossis and volkls of the world. that's my view as someone potentially interested in freeride/offpiste skis but it's probably the same for more piste orientated skis. and they have fugly graphics

Not a very experienced skier but I demo'd the Rage though and loved them, feel a bit old for twin tips, however if I see them in the sales I would probably go for them!
