Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Saas Fee Trip Report March 10

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Resort: Saas Fee
Country: Switzerland
Domain: Sass Valley
Author: Fattes13
Date: 12/03/2010 - 20/03/2010
Our holiday: 6 Qualified Instructors and one trainee instructor,
Website : http://www.saas-fee.ch/en

Lift system : Lots of high quality high speed gondalas with a few high speed chair lifts sadly being a glacial resort there is an awful lot of drag lifts to deal with but if you get it right your ski to lift ratio will fall heavily on the ski side
The terrain : 1,800 meter verticle from top to bottom non st0p if you want. On piste terrain is mainly suited to intermidiaries and beginners but off the pist there is plenty for the more advanced if you know where to look. Great tree skiing under the plattejan bubble and some great itineary runs around the spielboden and langfluh lifts.
The snow : Great on piste conditions for the entire week but the last day the sun had made some of the areas near the bottom a little soft but still very skiable. There was some powder to be found at the top and a little fresh powder in the trees if you had the right people to show you around.
Off-piste : Some great terrain and spent a day with a guide doing all 3 Glaciers absolutley amazing stuff with variable conditions but enough snow to enjoy
The resort : Picture postcard swiss beauty in every way! clean friendly locals and wonderfull mountains and scenery. Plenty to do off the slopes for everyone and lots of options for day trips to verbier and zermatt
Food : Great choice of places to eat both on and off the hill
Accommodation : Stayed in a friends penthouse apartment for the week absolute luxury with easy slope access but a bug walking up hill with ski gear at the end fo the day if you missed your last lift up
Costs: Ok its Switzerland and it is not the cheapest place in the world but value for money YES. Resort was quiet all week no lift ques and high quality food and service everywhere we stopped.

Highlights of the trip. Dinner in Don Chichios at the top of the town the most amazing Italian resteraunt, day trip to zermatt and skiing with a friend for the day.
