Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Clocks changing in Europe?

 Poster: A snowHead

I am in the 3 Valleys over Easter and I know that in the UK on the 27th the clocks go forward to BST. Does anyone know if anything happens in France?

Sorry if I put this in the wrong section.

The clocks are going forward on the 27th? bug, the one day of the year when it's my birthday and some sod is nicking an hour of it and giving it to someone else. Sad

Strangely enough, the 27th March is also my wife's birthday and we're travelling back that day... could be interesting to see if all the trains, planes & automobiles involved across France & Italy have cottoned on to the clock change... Puzzled

Ray Zorro, Funny you should ask that. I was thinking just the same; and I'm going to be in the 3V over Easter as well! Maybe see you there!?!
As we're going for a short break (ski-weekends job), the extra hour could make a material difference to our skiing/boarding if we don't get it right!

in my recent experience the change now happens on the same day ('twas not ever thus) so the UK remains an hour behind France and, strangely enough, the people who run the French transport system seems to cotton on without any problem. Whether all the travellers do is another matter!

Harmonised through all EU countries since 1998, made law a couple of years later, at 2am on March 27th the clocks go forward one hour in France as elsewhere.
