Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Salomon Street Racers

Poster: A snowHead
Hi, I tried out a pair (or two pairs) of these in Wengen on a recent weeks skiing. I was really disappointed in them....they were only happy if I was intensely carving down a slope but in areas where I had to Chuss (spelling?) they just flapped around merrily and were basically wavering around from side to side....it took all my years experience not to cause a nasty accident...anyway I took these back and tried some longer ones but same problem..

...now i know what NOT to buy!

Clearly I should avoid improving my ski=ing or paying more attention to the skis I ride - it can only lead to unhappiness wink snowHead

(I was using 160cm Streetracers last week, I'm 170cm and 85kg - only complaint really is the twatty name)

ah... mybe that's what happened then, he skied over a small peice of harder snow, the ski flapped up and broke his arm ...

Actually, I aquired a test pair for Mrs Ise who tried them for a couple of hours and hated them as well, something like the 8W I think.

ise, I would be interested to hear of Mrs Ise's full demo list and detailed opinions.

bolide's 9'18s are worn out entirely, she liked the *series, the Laser SC would suit, Volant Genesis Gold is a heavy option, she can get a good price on Dynastar (SC09?). Has Mrs Ise tried Metrons or Nordicas?

PS Strictly considering fast carver/skicross/detuned GS.

That's pretty funny if you knew her Very Happy She needs some new skis in my opinion but only tries what I hand her, we can always get Stöckli and I'd got these Salomons from a shop I know. She wants the SC's, I'd like her to try the spirits first but I suppose I doubt she will.

Detailed opinions rolling eyes I like these, these are no better than the current ones is as far as it gets.

Thanks for that link Wear The Fox Hat, they certainly didn't send me to sleep because I was constantly on my guard - I am a competent skier but these made me feel like I'd gone back 20 years

ise, have you tried the '06 stockli lasers? I think I saw them somewhere and they looked worryingly like they've moved to monocoque construction...
