Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Motorway Hotel Between Paris & Calais

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
I'm driving back from Andorra to UK in a few weeks and usually go via family so no need for stop overs however this time driving directly back.

There doesn't seem to be anywhere to stay by the motorway once you've gone past Paris until you get to Calais, however Paris seems too close to stop, but Calais seems too far for one go!

Does anyone know of a hotel that's got secure parking and is handy for the motorway? I'd be on the A1 from Paris to Arras, then A26 from Arras to Calais.

Thanks

There's a Holiday Inn Express in Arras I've used a few times. Not right on the motorway, but close enough. Parking is secure, but underground - no good if you have a roof box on. http://www.ichotelsgroup.com/h/d/ex/1/en/hotel/lilar

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

snowsteve, check with google maps - bring up the area and type hotels. We used one south of arras (F1) but on the other side is a better one - check Accorhotels.com

snowsteve, try www.hotel-bb.com for a stop that suits !!

The hotels are clean, comfortable and well priced IMO !! And don't worry of you arrive after the reception has closed... the self service check in actually works as long as you have your booking reference to hand Laughing

Having done that drive a few times, my view is that if you get as far up as Arras from Andorra, you might as well push on to Calais...

You can always look at hotels around Paris Charkes de Gaulles airport.. "pit stop" wise, it makes more sense..

I've stopped at Saint Witz a couple of times a few years when going to Parc Asterix. Just off the motorway north of CDG, plenty of hotels and restaurants grouped together there.
