Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Myself and my good lady are heading off to La Thuile at the end of the month. We have pre-booked whole area passes which offer 2 away days to any other Val d'Aosta resort. Pila and Courmayeur are our two most favoured options. We are wondering what is the best mode of transport between resorts. Is there a local inter-resort ski bus service or is it a regular local bus with drop-off points far from the lifts? Are there tour operator organised away-days (we are with Inghams) or is there a car rental in La Thuile?
Any info you have at all will be most appreciated, thanks.

Interski
specialise in trips to the three Aosta resorts. You could try contacting them as they do run regular (i.e. .more than once a week) coaches between the three and they might be happy to let you jump on board for a fee.
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I'm going to La Thuile tomorrow and went to Courmayeur last year. Although I didn't use it there's a free bus (with lift pass) between the two resorts. Not sure how regular it is but the buses around Courmayeur all seemed to run to a timetable. Pila would be pretty easy too, there is a public bus to Aosta, then ride the Ski in the Sky bubble lift up. You'd probably need a car for any of the other Aosta Valley resorts such as Cervinia and Gressoney.

Thanks for the info and the prompt replies.
Hope you have a great trip queen b. the snow is meant to be great just now.
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

There's a well run local bus service between the resorts - I know the bus from Courmayeur to La thuile for exmaple is free with a lift pass and is timed to get you there for a reasonable start and finish to your skiing day, I would assume the reverse to be true also.
