just watching the ladies - what a non event, about as interesting as watching the paint dry - really seemed odd that they weren't pushing the gates anything like as closely as the skiers, then when either of them went straighter round the bottom 2-3 gates they hopped out an advantage...
not helped by it being on europsurt with their rubbish commentators..."that's gold for the dutch lady from a country not renowned for it's winter sports..." - true but not that far from the mountains of a number of the key euro countries you daft git...

Yeah, wasn't great (still watched it all of course!). I'm assuming that it would have been more exciting if the conditions were better, but maybe I'm being too kind.

the conditions were atrocious, and PGS is normally much more exciting than that. Still the girl who's leading the WC won the girl, so the result was right.

Parallel slalom is usually quite exciting to watch. I remember seeing a parallel slalom between the top WC skiers in Moscow, great spectacle and a lot more Joe-Public-spectator friendly than regular racing.
