Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Planning is in its early stages for next year's family skiing jollies. Various conditions dictate that we will have to bite the bullet and go for the half term week.
Preliminary research suggests self-catering in Italy could help avoid a bill the size of the national debt and lift queues the length of the lines at the exit on Karaoke Night at our local when I take control of the microphone.
We were thinking of either Sestriere (Olympic Apartments) or La Thuile (Planibel Apartments). If anyone has any general resort info or specific info about the apartments it would be much appreciated. Info about likely lift queues would be particularly useful. We've seen La Plagne during French holiday season, which represents a "10" on our personal scale of lift queue hell. (Pre holiday season in the Alps where the lifties fight to get you on their lift out of sheer boredom represent a "1" on the same scale.)
We're after "family skiing" so views on the potential for trees, snowparks and mild powder would be good. The "Ankle Biters" will be 7 and 8 and should be around 2* and 3* level by then on the ESF scale.
Thanks in advance on behalf of the "Family Snowplough".
