Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

A snowHead
Hi,
I'm looking to buy the Dainese Shield 7-8 Air back protector. I've tried various different ones on and it looks like it's actually pretty strong compared with some of the other flimsy efforts I've seen about, while still being really comfortable. Anyone else got one?
While browsing to get a good price I've discovered that there's an identical looking one for motorcycles. It just looks like it's black instead of white. I've found it for £69.99 in a
biking website
or the regular white skiing one is £86.84 from
ellis-brigham
. What could be the difference? I'm really tempted to go for the black biker one, save myself £15 and not give any money to
ellis brigham
, but wondering if I'm missing something.
I've done a lot of searching for reviews and come up with nothing. The Dainese web site doesn't really highlight any difference, all I can think of is the snow one has a Recco reflector thing in it or maybe could it be complying to different safety standards?
Cheers
