Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

H.O.F.N.A.R. - Awesome!!!

Hi everyone,

My boyfriend and I just returned from a week in Morzine with the H.O.F.N.A.R. gang - what a pleasant surprise!

We had planned on going skiing - no idea where or when, so we attended the London Olympia Ski and Snow Show in October. This was where we first met Daniel. He had a stand there and we chatted to him for a while about his company. While we were thinking of renting some crappy studio apartment for the week, Daniel presented a much more attractive option - a room in a chalet, sharing with other people like us. The more we got chatting to Dan, the more fun it sounded! So we signed up.

We drove to Morzine and arrived at 8.30 in the morning - check in isn't until 2pm! However Dan and the gang that were leaving that day were more than welcoming and offered us breakfast and a shower before Dan escorted us to the ski hire place so we could get on the slopes as soon as possible. Dan organised everything and made sure that I got the right pair of skis for the right price (discount for being part of his gang!). Then he walked us to the ski lift, pointing out local attractions along the way, and gave us our lift pass that we pre-ordered. We were on the slopes for 9.30am! Fantastic!

Breakfast was a feast every morning (full english one morning - yum!) and was included in the price. There was plenty of food to make ham and cheese baguettes for lunch too. When we returned to the chalet at the end of the day, Dan had laid out a spread of cheese, biscuits, olives, crisps, biscuits, waffles - whatever you wanted! Then in the evenings we all chipped in and Dan cooked up masses of spaghetti bolognaise and beef boerginon (sp!) with starters and desserts - not to mention wine and beer!

So the food aspect was awesome, but the best thing was the people. The other guests were people like us - single travellers or a couple of friends who wanted people to ski with. Our group were about 25 - 40 year olds, so likeminded people. We had loads of fun skiing together during the day, and hanging out at night. We went out drinking a couple of nights, but also stayed in playing games a few nights too. We've definitely made some new friends who we'll keep in touch with.

Oh, and don't think that we did EVERYTHING together - if you want to go out by yourself or join in with what the group's doing, it wasn't a problem. A few times my boyfriend and I went skiing alone, or to the pub, but it was great to have a group there to hang out with too.

Daniel and helpful ski guide Craig were absolutely fantastic - they knew the place well and weren't shy about giving out advice/pointers when asked for.

Thanks to Dan for taking me out skiing while the advanced people whizzed off - I really appreciated it! Oh, and for carrying my ski's because I had trouble walking in my ski boots!

I would really recommend the HOFNAR experience - we'll be going back next year!

Who is this "SuperDan". Suprised there was not a "full English" every day! Would have thought it was the norm for Morzine
