Course looks amazing. it will be FAST because the snow has not only frozen but becuse of the previous days mild temperatures it' like spring snow structure from about toilet bowl down to the finish.....

Didier Cuche looking more intense than usual, he ususlly inspects in the pack but today he ws right at the end and was last person to get out of the course before they closed inspection.

Rossi wax techs are very happy tht the snow is granular they say their bases are good on this sort of stuff

I love this course! I made sure to ski it when I was out in Whistler last year. It is seriously steep in places. It is even better to watch than I had expected it to be. Please bring this back to the WC circuit...

Loks like Didier Defago with gold, Aksel Yummy Svindal (as a friend recently described him  ) with silver, and Bode Miller taking bronze. Who would have picked those three at the start of the season?

What a fantastic race that was. Some of the times were so close, even some of the racers who were well in touch in the first half but lost it at the end. Gutted for Cuche, so close throughout, 0.06 on that last timing but only finished 6th ! Still not exactly sure where he lost that amount of time. The only thing that slightly disappointed was the crowd atmosphere. It didn't come across as anything like the big European events. Were the tickets v.expensive ? The skiing equivalent of footballs prawn sandwich brigade maybe ?

Agree, unless there was some serious sound editing going on it is hard to believe that (what looked like) so many people, could make so little noise
