Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Trip Report, Vaujany (ADH) February 2010

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Resort: Vaujany
Country: France
Domain: Alpe D'Huez
Author: Sabreboy

Date: 6-13th February 2010
Our holiday: Yearly trip for a mixed ability group.
Website : http://www.vaujany.com/en/hiver/accueil.php.
Basics : Part of Alpe D'Huez resort, about an hour and a half from Grenoble.
Lift system : Quick links from Vaujany into the main network, some slower chair lifts in the main resort but not a problem.
The terrain : Lots for everyone to enjoy. Favourite piste was La Fare, down to L'Enversin D'Oz, brilliant for a blast at 4.55pm before the (slow) lift back to Vaujany closes at 5.05pm. Saranne a pleasant piste, Combe Charbonniere more challenging in chopped up snow. Less confident skiiers liked the big green bowl above Huez and had enough blues/reds to make their way down.
The snow : It had snowed heavily a few days before our trip, and the low clouds topped this up below 2500m for a few days.
Off-piste : Epic, according to our tame snowboarder. Chateux Noir and Roche Melon his favourites.
The resort : Nice and quiet, not much nightlife but we were happy to stay in the Chalet most nights.
Food : Le Petite Truc at the bottom of the Vallonet was friendly, restaraunt at the bottom of Chalvet lift was very nice (but a little pricey).
Accommodation : Stayed at Chalet la Maitreya, independently Dutch owned. Absoloutley fantastic, great chalet hosts (Lesley and Hilde), superb food, mini-bus on demand to take you the 3-4 minutes drive up the hill to Vaujany village, low bar bill,
Costs: All quite pricey, 3.50 Euros for a Cafe au Lait, up to 7 euros for hot chocolate, but cheaper food/drink can be had in self service place at the main Huez resort. The Euro/Pound thing probably didn't help much.
Conclusion: Great chalet, decent location, good resort.
