Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I'm taking 2 x 17-year olds who aren't mine, and one of my own, to 3V next week. TO Insurance is a rip-off and limiting on the off-piste clause (thanks for all the advice on that issue in various threads). I'm therefore looking around and wondered if anyone has direct experience of getting cover for a small group including under-18's who are not your own family. I will phone my shortlist of Insurance companies to ask this question, but thought no harm in trying SnowHeads too!

, When we took other peoples teenagers with us in the past, the parents always bought their insurance & carte neige, when in France, to cover being taken off the mountain if needed. If the parents have chosen it, they cant blame you if it doesnt cover everything, can they?

Sorted - with Direct Travel who are multiply recommended on this forum. I have just spoken to an intelligent human (Sunday afternoon too -more than SCGB could do!), and they are clear that a group can be not a family and include 17 year-olds. It also includes tobogganing, and off-piste without a guide - my other 2 key criteria. All for £52 for the top level cover for all 4 of us. Snowcard looked good, but is £120 for similar . . . . .
