Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Advice on trains or buses between Morzine and Val D'isere & Les Arcs

 Poster: A snowHead

Hi All

We have booked a weeks skiing in Morzine on 14th - 21st March with some friends.... My partner and I are planning on staying for another 10 days/2 weeks.

Does anyone know of the easiest way to travel between Morzine and Les Arcs or Morzine and Val D'0isere?

What is the general consensus are we better just staying in MOrzine or making the move?

Thanks in advance for any/all responses.

Don't know about the French public transport that well but my guess is you might have to get to Geneva to catch a train to Bourg st Maurice which is the base for Les Arcs.

Val D is at the dead end (in winter) of the Tarentaise Valley and the 32 miles journey is only accessible from BSM by buses which are available at BSM.

A car can make all the differences in this case as sizable skiing resorts like Grand Massif (Flaine/les Carroz/Morillon/Sameon), Chamonix and Domain Evasion (St Gervais/Megeve) are close by to the French side of the Porte du Soleil, say within 40 miles radius.

ok thanks for the advice Saikee.... Probably looks like Les Arcs or a hire car then.

There are 1600km piste in Tarentaise (Valmorel, 3V of Corchevel/Meribel/Val Thoren, Paradiski of Les Arcs/La Plagne, La Rosiere/La Thuile and Espace Killy of Tignes/Val D. BSM is about at the middle. Two weeks with a car is about the time needed to try all the major area.
