Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Buying goggles in Geneva - any recommendations on where?

 Poster: A snowHead

Hello all,

Am off to Geneva for a cheeky weekend of trying to find fluffy stuff to fall in. I have meant to get aroudn to buying some new goggles, but due to distractions and a few other things, I haven't done it. I have a few hours messing around Geneva before the rest of the crew arrive, so I was wondering if anyone has a recommendation as to where I might purchase some in Geneva. I am looking for Scott Light Amplifiers but open to looking at others.

Thanks

I think you'd find it interesting to check out this place - Hofstetter Sports - very established (1934):

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Cheers,

Will have a look down there.

Dublinfella, I only suggested the place because I once skied with the owner Michel Hofstetter in Val d'Isere. An extraordinarily good skier, and very equipment-specialised, but this was back in about 1976! There may be better shops in the city now.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Apart from David's suggestion try Ochsner sports in the main shopping street. Another good store, but more backcountry oriented, is Cactus in Carrouge although that is out of town a bit.

Geneva is very, very, very expensive though. If you are going to France try buying in resort.

HI davidof,

Yeah, I thought it might not be the cheapest alright. I have a bit of time to kill so will have a look. Funds are extremely limited at the moment though, so I might just have to look and not touch. We will be in Switzerland for the weekend, so think resort will be similar price. Sure if I find nothing, I will just wait until I get back and try to buy before the next trip.

Thanks
