Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Airport transfers

Apologies if this is the wrong part of the forum - couldn't work out a better one...

I'm just costing up a trip for the family (me, wife and 2 young kids) and roughly got the flights and hotel prices but not sure on the best way of doing a transfer from the airport.

I don't really want the expense of hiring a car but not excited about the idea of public transport either - is there a company who specialise in organising transfers?

BTW, flying to Geneva and going to Flaine (in 2011)...

We used Alps2Alps for our transfer from GVA to and from La Clusaz. http://www.cheap-airport-transfers.co.uk/index.html

They quoted by far the cheapest price (for a minibus for 6 of us) and gave us an excellent service turning up on time for both transfers (even though our flight arrived about 1 hour late on Wednesday night). Paid in Euros 2/3rds on the outward leg, the remaining 1/3 on the return leg so no tricky money transfer or credit card charges necessary.

Thanks Tiger2 - if I was sharing the cost, that seems pretty good but I was hoping to get some sort of shared coach to keep the cost down...

Does anyone know if there is some sort of public transport from Geneva airport to Flaine? Or which website I'd use to find out?

There will be buses, but they ain't cheap either. There is plenty of info and links to the bus transfers on the flaine website. With 4 passengers the bus costs won't be a lot less than a small hire car, though probably a car wouldn't be much use if you are staying in Flaine itself.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.
