Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Dynastar Big Trouble is another one to look out for (I'm on my second set after the first were stolen last season). There are lots of (brand new) ones form previous seasons on ebay, which keeps the cost down. Good in powder and excellent in variable snow, OK on piste unless it's super icey, 92mm underfoot, so an excellent allmountain ski with a freeride emphasis.

No idea about the Liberty's though.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Liberty Hazmat 2008

I think the 2010 versions were reviewed in this month's DMS&S magazine. From memory they're quite expensive new - somewhere around £460.

yeah plenty of 09 and 08 hazmats and helix floating around on ebay before the season started for cheap. Nearly got some myself, before getting some Blends.. bamboo core if memory serves, meant to be fairly light and pretty good across the whole mountain.

I ski 176 helixes which are rather similar, (105 underfoot) Superb light ski, grips well on piste, wonderful in powder, don't like them much in bumps, very even flex, even at standard mounting point they seem to be very centre mounted i.e. lots of tail, which takes a bit of getting used to. Very impressed with the toughness of the bases.

Don't get the z10's however, get some pivots much better.

The Z10's are coming as part of the package so not sure if i could just get the ski

Does anyone think they're worth it?

I put my son on 171 Hazmats this season. He's 15yo and an expert skier ( Yeah,I know all Dad's think this. wink ). The Hazmats are superb. They ripped in deep pow and carved well on hardpack. Read the US reviews, it's a rated ski.
