Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Ski Bindings...

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
I'm looking at buying some ski bindins, which will be primarily for freestyle, but they need to be able to take a full season's battering of jumps and rails. Looking at the Marker Jester, I fancy splashing out a little, since they're great bindings. What I wanted to know, was how do you know if bindings are compatible with certain skis? I assume there's more to it than the brake width... Also, Griffin or Jester? Or any other suggestions? I'll be mounting them on Amplid Antidogs, if that helps.

Any help is appreciated.

Cheers,
Murray

Not really. Marker Duke needs at least 76mm, but I doubt you'll be under that.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Really? That's cool. Nah, the Antidogs are 86mm I think. Any opinions on Jester or Griffon? The Jester's apparently sightly better build quality, and there's the obvious DIN difference.... (Jester 8-16, Griffon something to 12) I never have it set much less than 9, I'm a little bigger than average.

Ive heard that the Jester has more metal components than the Griffon so its the usual weight vs durability argument. I also heard that the main gripe with them is that where the heel piece meets the tracking for the wormscrew is made of plastic and can break. They look pretty bomber to me though.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Some people moan about toe slop.
