Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I SHOULD be in Belle plagne now, enjoying the fabulous conditions as advertised by every person who is there
But pillock that I am I fell last week and have seriously torn muscles in my thigh.
I've been ultrasounded and xrayed and there is no tendon tear but my thigh is still agony one week on and I still cant support my weight to walk up stairs normally.
So what's the thought on my being able to ski in 4 weeks?
I'm at a sports physio tomorrow for massage and ultrasound therapy but I'm going to have to make a decision soon as to whether I can re-arrange this trip on 20th Feb.
If I re-book I will not be covered by insurance as it is a pre-existing condition so should I risk it?
All thoughts are welcome.

, Ouch !! talk to the physio and be honest.
I know I tore my cartilage 4 weeks before my trip, couldnt walk properly - even limping was hard work. I still went to Banff for two weeks and had a great time. sports physio and surgeon ( who was a skier ) were ok with me going. Insurance didnt cover it but I was careful, honest
All you can do is listen to their advice ( what other damage could occur etc. ) and decide from there. Not sure howe you will get on cancelling dependant on your insurance co. as you will probably be ok to fly, but not to ski
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

, Bad luck.
Does it have to be 20 February. Paris school holidays? Your leg, and the lift queues, will be better a month later.

, Wait till you are ready - then rebook at short notice. That is a muscle you really need to do any skiing.
