Poster: A snowHead
|
Hi,
My long running saga of trying to tie a free holiday in with one I already had booked is coming to an end.
As an alternative I'm considering whether the £500 saving I make combining the two is worth the 8 hour drive each way.
The alternative is to pay for a weeks accomodation and lift pass somewhere near Munich and be done with it.
Any thoughts on where you would go right now if you had a flight into Munich?

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

What do you mean by 'in reach'? The whole of Austria and Switzerland can be considered to 'in reach' of Munich Airport!
My in reach places would be south of Munich, i.e Garmisch, and just about the whole of Tirol & Salzburgerland , so Kitzbühel, St.Anton, Ischgl, Saalbach, Ski Welt etc etc etc.

Kruisler, Agree. I second Garmish. Easily reachable from Munich for a day by train if you are stuck for time.
