Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

There've been a few snowboarders down the Bus Stop Couloir on the N side of Mam Tor. Finishes by the bus stop below the Mam Nick. Edale face of Grindslow Knoll, above Edale village too blown out. Not been in condition for a couple of winters, one of my colleagues boarded it in his lunch break two years back.

Freezing rain in Edale this morning so conditions not good.

For those who like uplift - rumour mill has it a rope tow has been out and about in the Dark Peak. Its not a commercial operation so dont expect the derbyshire version of Harwood to spring up.

Seen cross country skiers on rushup edge.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Afraid its quite unpleasant at the mo with a thin layer of ice on top. There are still some great easy access routes on the top roads though, with some great drifts. make the most of it!!!

Don't tell 'em about the two rope tows seen in Hayfield this weekend, Pike ! (TR to follow if they're still running, but with the forecast weather I'm not hopeful)

Ssssh, wasnt going to give the location, they're the tows that used to be up on Eldon Hill. A frame jib for rope return is still there.

oldagedpredator, in that case they're the tows that Mrs NBT used once upon a long time ago. Heavy rain forecast for saturday so I doubt conditions will be good enough on Sunday Sad Give us a shout if you fancy some petrol paying company on any future jaunts to the tows in the Pennines though

Would but tend to be up for 2-3 days at a time at moment. Doing long weekends and cramming the working week.

Looked like avalanche debris by the Bus Stop on Mam Tor when went past this eve, but it was by headlight. Will stop and photo on way past tomorrow if it is.

Hopefully North Pennines will hold up get snow rather than rain this weekend. Models are here and there on this one but some show a chance of snow in one or two of them. If not I've got another 30 marker poles to make this weekend. Orange duck tape - pure genius.
