Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Salomon Snowboard Bindings

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hey guys,

Just got back from ADH - wow! What amazing conditions!

So, I now need to bit the bullet and get my own gear.

Saw some sweet looking bindings in one of the gear shops out there.

They looked like a hybrid binding in so far as they had two independent straps (like strap bindings) the toe strap could be preset via tool free clips (like flows).

The ankle strap had a flow type clip on one side and a toggle clip on the other side to "open" and "close" the strap. This was not a ratchet clip in the conventional sence. It just seemed to have two positions "open" and "closed" with a button to release.

Then there looked to be a flow type hinging high back for entry / exit.

Oh yes, they also had two further toggles on the side of each binding that once opened allowed the hole binding to pivot to set foot angle. Seemed super quick and very neat.

They were mostly black with a white grid pattern.

Anybody know what these are??

I've looked all over the net and can't find these bindings. Not even on the Salomon site.

I couldn't really get a decent look (or try) these bindings, but they looked very nice and seemed to offer some neat features.

Cheers
