Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Flying from Manchester- couple of tips, car park and oversize check in

During the spell of snowy/icy weather the 'Meet and Greet' car parking option has been upgrading its customers to the terminal multi storey car park instead. It's a very good service anyway as the car park check-in is right at the terminal, however they then go and park your car at an off site car park and it's that car park which has been too weather affected for them to consider it safe to move cars in and out of. If you are booked with them you drive to the meet and greet as normal, they then advise you to turn back around the roundabout and park in the multi storey which is even more convenient Very Happy

Oversize bags/skis drop off in T1: there is a central drop off belt right in the middle of of the check-in desks, on busy days there is a massive Shocked queue so having queued already for check-in you queue the same time again to drop off the skis, possibly making you late for getting to the gate! However at the very far end of the check-in hall is another oversize check in desk which is very lightly used, so make your way to the very far right hand end of the hall if there is a queue in the middle.

Hi! Thanks for the tip for getting skis dropped off. Will be at Manchester on Wednesday. We usually fly from east midlands but easyjet pulling out Evil or Very Mad forces us over to Manchester.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

billyh, Probably ok on a wednesday, also not sure if Easyjet are in that same check in hall anyway Puzzled I know Jet 2 are downstairs in what used to be the old Airtours departures area, that has it's own oversize bag drop. I think Easyjet could be in T3 at Manchester, again IIRC only one outsize baggage drop there. So this bit of advice only really good for people checking in in the main T1 big hall snowHead
