Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Is this route ok/safe to drive from Munich to Zell Am See

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Having read some of the posts a few days ago regarding blindly following a Sat Nav ( which I did last year...and it was very scary!!!! ) I was looking at the route I will drive on Friday 8th Jan from Munich airport to Zell Am See.

Obviously the majority it will be motorway and I will be heading East towards salzburg and then turn off at Seigsdorf and then south via Inzell, Lofer and Saalfelden into Zell.

Once off of the motorway does anyone know if these are major roads without high passes?

Any help and advice appreciated

thanks

Rich

I've driven this route a couple of times and can confirm there are no high passes or "windy bits" with hairpin bends.

Oi Oi Savaloy, Sometimes I stay on the autobahn all the way to Bishofshofen and then there's a nice fast road into Zell from there. It's longer but can be faster.

Oi Oi Savaloy, forgot to say and just remembered why I go the longer route... Saalfelden can be a big bottleneck.
