Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

We are booked next Friday and wondering what to take for the journey! I like to be prepared Very Happy

Was thinkin sleep masks a fleece blanket and bottle of wine cold be worth taking (we are parking at ashford, so not a massive lug of stuff needed)

Not this year but many times in the past up till about 2005. You need sleep masks, earplugs, blanket, water & a pillow.

I bring a full sized pillow stuffed in my bag (no luggage allowance to worry about!), and I head off to the back carriages where its more empty, fold the arms up on the seats, and sleep across the seats - you will find many ways of sleeping - a few times I even slept UNDER the seats lengthways - best way to sleep is on the floor-footwell so that people can walk over your legs as its a bit of a palaver if you sleep on the seats with legs across to ther other seats, esp. when drunken souls try to negotiate your legs by hurdling. Crunchiepink13, potentially the people who have done the trip this year are still on their way back - the first euro* ski train only ran on 26/12 if memory serves correctly. you may get answers from tomorrow/later this week after people are back home. we received stuff on the train for the journey last year, but the things you've listed as taking with you will also do the trick. you may wanna add ear-plugs if you're sensitive to "ambient" noise.

i'm also heading out on the 08/01 night ski train; i can't wait! have a good trip snowHead !

Thanks, I always get madly excited about skiing holidays anyway and barely sleep the night before and wake every 30 mins in case I have slept through the alarm, so I should be fine. Very Happy The kids are good sleepers, so they will be OK too.

Now I just need to check out where does a good brekkie in Tignes snowHead

Crunchiepink13, depends on where you're staying in tignes. the loop bar (le lac, opposite the free rosset beginner lift/run) does a good fry up if memory serves correctly. the bakery next door to the loop also does fab pastries for breakfast, if you're gonna try to be healthier wink .
