Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Both kids are currently on 120 standard skis. They have tried out twin tips in Xscape that were 120's and seemed happy but to me these also appeared to be rather short. The tip curl looses several cms over the straighter skis.
I've now got the opportunity to get some good condition 2nd hand
K2
Juvy 129cm. Is there a sizing 'model' for twin tips for kids? For instance 120 standard skis = xxx cm twin tips. I dont want to buy, too long or too short.
Any advice appreciated. Thanks.

What age height/weight are they? generally you would size longer in a TT anyway so if they are a good match for a 120-125 then a 129TT would probably not be too big.
However what you dont want to do is push them onto too long a ski too soon, and make sure the bindings are checked out
when they outgrow the Jurvy's i will doubtless have 2 sets of salamon fish/kitten TT's in a 140 ready to sell you
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

The Juvy 129cm are actually only 125cm long. They lose the length of the twin tip as well, so the 129's ski just like a 120cm ski with flat tails.
My son jumped straight from 110cm Salomon Street Racers to 129cm with no problems at all.
