Poster: A snowHead
|
On another thread admin mentioned annual carte neige, and somebody else quoted paying about €39 with their season pass. I can't seem to find anything longer than 30 days on the CdMB website. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

midgetbiker, I think this is what you want http://www.carreneige.com/ We get ours through the local "club de ski" - not sold with the lift passes.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Alternatively, this: http://www.ffs.fr/site/carteneige/index.php?rub=ass 45€ for the basic cover or 54€ for the more comprehensive one. If you normally live in the UK you want the Option Loisirs, which transfers you to the hospital nearest where you normally live, should you need it. Remember to give them your UK address, not the one in resort.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

In Chamonix you need a letter from your doctor declaring you are fit to ski. Worth checking beforehand if you're getting it elsewhere.

When we bought our season lift passes for PDS in Les Gets on Tuesday we asked about insurance as you never quite know which desk or office you are going to be directed to. Anyway we now have: http://www.chatel.com/ftpclient/pdf/assurancegb.pdf which appears to be run through Mondial Assistance and was 50 euros for the annual cover which is worldwide.
We put our address in England but then added down the side our address here in Les Gets as we need to have the card or whatever you get posted to us here. We were promised two to three days. We got two copies of the paperwork. This is in addition to our annual insurance through SCGB.

Thanks everyone.
marmotskigal, can I ask, where did you buy yours in Chamonix?

marmotskigal, not apparently if you get it from the ski school office in the Guide's maison.
Why can't the French get their act together?
2006, 2007 purchased from ESF in Le Tour
2008, Le Tour "no we don't do that any more" (???!!!), purchased from ESF Samoens
Last night, Ski Club Chamonix (we need either last years ((expired October, binned)) as proof that you once had a medical certificate [well, actual, no it ISN'T as they DIDN'T ASK for one] or a medical cert) except that sis-in-law bought her's on Monday last at ESF beside Mais des guides without cert, etc.
Feckwits.
