Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

The local radio station is saying that we are getting heavy snow at 3am tomorrow snowHead

Hopefully they are right, and southern trains will be their usual helpful selves and not be able to get me to work in London Blush

If predictions are right then you will find me at either Worthing Golf course tomorrow afternoon or on the Downs behind Shoreham.... any south coast snowheads who want to join me are more than welcome

If the predictions are wrong, I will be found at my desk in Victoria Sad and then at hemel on Saturday morning Smile

bobblehat, I live in Coulsdon and also use Southern trains, so hopefully the radio station is right because it means that I won't have to worry about leaving the house tomorrow morning to get the train into work in London - yahhoooooo!! Very Happy

PS - does anyone still ski, sledge at Goodwood these days?

Whats the betting that good old Southern will get the trains running even if it does snow enough for a little recreational skiing !!!! Sad

re Goodwood .... have;t got a clue.... fairly new to skiing so only been interested the past 2 years or so.... boxhill looks as though it could be interesting from the other posts LOL

homphomp, I know I got up early to double check that they weren't running .... I am not happy ... sitting at desk in Victoria !!!! Blasted Southern.... I thought they were meant to put the customer first rolling eyes

Just got back from skiing at Hillbarn Golf Course in Worthing .... and am very pleased to announce not a pringle jumper or plus fours in sight !! Laughing
Conditions weren't bad with still enough coverage on the lower slopes.
No lift queues and slopes were quiet with only about 20 kids and their sledges dotted around the hills NehNeh
Mr Bobblehat was also happy with the conditions for boarding !!

If the skating rink outside my house otherwise known as a road holds up, we will be back up there tomorrow for some pre lunch fun unless anyone local can think of a hill with fairly decent access which would be more like a red run ?? We fancy a change of scenary Confused
