Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi,

I think it's a simple and well know question to you all. But, keep in mind I'm not so familiar with ski and ski equipment. Since I have skied just 8, maybe 10 times for short 4 to 7 days each. Every time using rented skis/boots! And i think you'll begin to evaluate the proper set wen you begin to consider to buy it.

Ok, I'm not willing to purchase skies right now!!! But since I'm heading to Les arcs next Jan and will rent skies again and feels a bit more confident... I start to looking around to "what should be the appropriate skies for my skill level.

I'll try to explain:
Last Feb. in Europe I've rented a pair of Fisher CoolHeat and really don't feel confident with it, some lack of control, even in very good conditions at Stubai, with lots of powder.
After that, Sept, at Bariloche, Argentina, with very similar conditions, I've rented a pair of Elan (cant remember the model) . But, the feeling was the total control, fast but less effortless.

As I've said, I would ask you experts: what you think is the best bet for me!!

I'm 1,70m tall, 72 kg and about level 5 or 6 !!!

Thanks in advance for your thoughts !!!!!!

Cheers~
Eduardo

I think groomed pistes most of the time, blues and red some black and a little off piste . Looking for control, some speed and ease turns!

Thanks! Blush
