Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Nice Resort Near Geneva

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hello,

Myself and Her Indoors have booked flights to Geneva on March 15th for 4 nights.
Can anyone suggest a good resort with with plenty of blue runs and fairly decent hotels.
Went to Morzine last year so maybe somewhere different.

Chick, A nice small French resort with plenty of blue runs is Les Saisies. 1.5 hours from Geneva. It has a nice 3* hotel, the Calgary, but it's quite expensive - 968 euros for those 4 night. http://hotels-chalets.reservit.com/reservit/avail.php?hotelid=4370&userid=3964aa3808da500824779e3334a288cb03b2&typeforfait=&begindate=03%2F15%2F2010&enddate=3%2F19%2F2010&begindateday=15&begindatemonth=3&begindateyear=2010&enddateday=19&enddatemonth=3&enddateyear=2010&nbnight=4&bredirectauto=1&nbroom=1&roomAge1=40,40&numadult=2&currency=EUR&currentroomid=1&roomidavailinfo=1

Thanks folks,
I think its a toss up between La Clusaz, Les Carroz or Les Gets whichever has the best snow nearer the time.

Yes, Megeve! That's definitely the place to find luxury hotels! If you're looking for a classy resort, look no further.

Chick, maybe you'll have to settle for a "fairly nice" hotel then? If you went to Les Gets last year you presumably did all the Morzine bits? Depends what else you're looking for, really - e.g. super convenient skiing (not La Clusaz)

We are going to Ischgl for a week in january with friends and the 4 star hotel in Ischgl is cheaper for 1 week than any of the 3star hotels in france for 4 nights.
Maybe we will get a better deal nearer the date we are going.

Chick, you'd get much better "deals" as part of a package I suspect - the hotel rack rates are pretty ridiculous. You could have a really nice apartment and eat out in a selection of restaurants? I'd never want to get stuck with having to eat all evening meals in a hotel unless it was either very cheap or very good. Or even both!

A few in St Gervais; The Arbois-Bettex, or the Regina, or the Coin du Feu in St Nicolas perhaps.
