Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Transfers from Munich airport to Ischgl

 Poster: A snowHead

Hi,

Can anyone tell me what's the cheapest and quickest transfer from Munich Airport to Ischgl?

We're heading out for a couple of days next Thursday and renting a car seems like such a waste.

Thanks!

Ok so I'm having a little joke but if you're only going for a couple of days - then surely the best way of getting there without wasting too much time is to drive?

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I agree with bertie bassett, and I also suspect that when you price up a taxi transfer versus car hire for a couple of days, the car hire will win hands down plus give you maximum flexibility. Other options are train plus bus or taxi but if you're only going for a couple of days, this is going to seriously eat into your time.

dingdong, Have a look at Four Seasons Travel ( http://www.tirol-taxi.at/airporttransfer/ )
They do transfers from Munich to Ischgl... (They also do transfers from Innsbruck and Salzburg to 278 places in Tirol, according to their website)
In my experience they're reliable and the prices are ok. They usually cost a few Euros more than an equivalent train journey, without having the faff of changing trains and finding the right platform.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

dingdong, would agree wth SaraJ, although I'm hiring a car to go to Kappl - main reason is that we're flying back from Memmingem and Four Seasons don't cover. Hertz have a place in Ischgl but don't think they do drop offs.

Thanks for the replies everyone. bertie bassett, you've hit the nail on the head there. It looks like the cheapest option for the couple of days will be a car rental.
Taxi transfer will cost 352 return for the two of us and the car rental comes to 260. So that answers that I suppose.

Cheers.
