Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

What are the chances.?

I have decided at the last minute that I dont want to do the usual New Years thing, and might go skiing instead.

This wasn't planned in advance, so am now ploughing through the internet for a last minute deal.

I've only got about £1000 (for 2 people) to work with. I would like to include as much as possible of the overall cost; flights, accommodation, passes?

What are the chances of finding something this late, for that price, for a week? - (from about Boxing Day through the New Year).

I've never skiied over the Christmas / New Year period before, tending to do the family thing instead.

I'm having no luck! - anyone done this before? are there deals to be had at the very last minute? (I dont mind waiting until even later to book as this is just a spontaneous thing).

Cheers!

(Maybe I should mention that I have another ski holiday booked up already later in the season, so perhaps I'm being a bit greedy I suppose - just thought it would be a good idea.)

fr0sty, Your cutting it a bit fine..... timewise and financially rolling eyes rolling eyes rolling eyes .

I think you've got more chance of finding a deal for xmas week. A quick recce of the usual sites didn't yield much. Some deals on Rocketski £500-600.
Good luck Cool

I usually go at Chrismas on a late deal but because of where it falls this year I'm going NewYear. Usually get sorted. Still waiting for the prices to drop (started falling a bit last week). You'll be lucky to find £500 inclusive of passes. Good luck but don't nick the best deal... I want it!

New Year week seems to be far more busy than Christmas week, judging by all the appartments I have been searching through.

I hope you find what you need.

There's bound to be something out there. Very Happy

fr0sty, you might do best to hire a car and stay somewhere like Sallanches (less than an hour from Geneva) which is a valley town but in reach of several excellent ski areas including Chamonix, Les Contamines, Megeve, Combloux, Flaine.

Still some decent deals to be had to Bulgari, Italy and Austria for Boxing Day.
