Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Morzine ski hire

I've seen a few recomendations for All Mountain Rental. However, they are a fair bit more expensive than, say Skiset. Is there a huge difference in the quailty of their kit? I'm trying to make arrangements for a mixed ability group of Skiers and Boarders for mid Jan.

I'd be grateful if anyone would share their experience of these, or any other providers in Morzine. We're staying close to the Nyon cable so proximity might be a factor. Thanks.

hurricane72, Francois Baud Sports is one of the best hire shops in the alps in terms of quality of kit. Certainly the best I've found anywhere. Tell Eric or Marie-Pierre I recommended them if you go there. Just down from the Pleney bubble

I found Felix Ski a great shop to deal with. Although I have little frame of reference as I have only been once.

I stayed at Nyon and it was great, ski straight to your door. The telepherique is great. A bit of a walk for a beer but you'll enjoy it all the more once you get there.

I am jealous............... Very Happy

hurricane72, there isn't really anything in close proximity to the Nyon cable, so you might as well plump for the best you can get. I'd concur with David Murdoch that the kit at Francois Baud is excellent. Nyon's a great area to be in, and the stroll into town is is pretty easy.

Happy to give these guys a positive mention. Can't compare their equipment or service with others but we've used them twice and will do again next year:

hurricane72, All Mountain Rental kit is well above average in terms of quality and also they religiously servcie the skis each week - not always the case with the French hire shops!
