Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Poster: A snowHead
Hi, Can anyone suggest the best place to find or even recommend a mountain guide in chamonix. I am hoping to climb next year or even do a bit of back country.

Thanx.

cjones09, you will do a lot better getting an answer to this if it is posted in "the Piste" or "resort reviews" - suggestions/requests is more for questions about the functioning of this forum. Perhaps a mod might move this and pm cjones09, ?

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Remy Lecluse ( remilecluse@yahoo.com )is the most famous of all of them - he has even guided a client skiing down under the Aiguille du Midi cable-car Shocked and speaks quite good English, but he may be booked up by now for this season.
Jim Kerr ( jimkerr@chamonix.net ) is English but has lived there for a while and is a good guide.
Roland Stieger ( 0033 450 558477 - I don't seem to have his email) is a huge personality and well known guide in the area and good to ski with, but I don't know how his injuries and age have affected his climbing - he may be fine but you would need to find out.

Edit: Find more information on here

Kenton Cool of Dream Guides is a good bloke. Never climbed as a client of his but friends and acquantances have and have really enjoyed it, as well as generally fulfilling their objectives.

Can second the suggestions for Rick & Kenton above, and also throw in a host of other Cham-based Brit guides - Guy Willett, Jonny Baird, Jim Blyth, Jon Bracey, Bruce Goodlad just for starters... (Guy is the other half of Dream Guides, Jonny you can contact via www.jonathan-baird.com and the rest will all succumb to googling).
