Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Some tasty secrets!!

I have just got back from teaching english at the Atomic HQ in Altenmarkt.

The board-room we use for teaching was locked (for a change) so we had to wait for a key... then I was met with the whole of the 2010/11 future season's ski selection!.... got to see them before most of the staff!!

Some great looking gear. The 'Race' selection have all lost their race classification label (GS, SL etc..) and are called LT or ST (long turns, short turns)... These are not the racer's sis but the over-the-counter jobbies - I recon it is to stop people thinking they are GS, SL pro skiers!

The D2 and vario range look awesome! Much nicer deck designs with some nice shadowing along the carve from the tip giving the impression of a really wide tip. Shades of red, blue, green all faded with balck - very nice!

The Nomad range (off-piste) More deck designs but a very nice set with a clear laquer top and the wood core/laminate? underneath - looks very nice!

The ladies carving range - still all swirly floweryness but a very pretty deck design available in black with purple and green swirly bits.

An amazingly light touring ski - about 1kg!

Plus some silly heli-skis... SX range is dead and buried Sad

So just a sneacky peak - shame you have to wait about a year to buy them!

I'm still working on that one wink
I teach the logistics department once a week... so they might be able to do me a deal if I want to be smuggled out of the country!
I took the serial number of my skis in a few weeks ago ('cos mine have a weird deck design and no model branding) to try to find out exactly what they were.. the answer after just reading the first 2 numbers of the code was.... "Ben, your skis are as old as stone!" .... at least I am teaching them something!

flangesax, don't they already use LT and ST to refer to ladies vs mens versions. If they change that it'll be a bit embarrassing when some WC racer tips up at the start of a hairy GS with a pair of LT 155s on his feet...

flangesax,

You sure you should put this info in a public forum?
No obvious sensitive info but Atomic might want to do a reveal themselves..

buckers,
I saw the Nomad range and the massive Heli range... not all were out as these were the standard 'shop' selection - so just all the regular designs, models and sizes.

under a new name,
To be honest... not 100% sure but they looked long enough for gents to me... however these are not the WC class of ski. They are the 'race' selection... which is the high-street versions of the WC skis. I'll ask next week to clarify.

Kruisler,
I'm sure Rossignol/Fischer or even Blizzard won't be too interested in this top secret info... Salamon are part of the same group...
I haven't signed any confidentiality agreements and i don't think this is too much of a reveal... but if they are out next week then I mght just have a camera on me!!! wink wink
