Absolutely. Giro Helmets are made in different lasts to fit different head shapes depending on which model, so whereas say a Fuse will fit a G10 might not. You must try them on.

Thats the only issue, finding a place in or near Stoke-on-trent that sells ski helmets, might be a bit of a task
I was just looking to buy over the net.
...Though I did walk passed someone with an Recco jacket this morning, thinking does he know something that I dont !

For the record I tried a lot of Giro helmets on earlier in the year and in the same size they all seemed to fit pretty similarly
As I have a large and odd-shaped noggin this is probably not very useful information

Anyone know which size I should buy, as I measured my head and it came out as 59cm around ...
Giro sizes say :
Giro Helmets
Small (52-55.5cm)
Medium (55.5-59cm)
Large (59-62.5cm)
Bloody typically, I cant be arsed to drive to Tamworth just to try on a helmet, drive home and order on net
Anyone know which would be best to get Medium or Large
cheers

how much hair you got and would you ever want to wear a hat underneath (do you get a cold head ever?)
I'd go large and sure any good online retailler will exchange if the size is wrong - but check first

You need to try them on, especially as you're on the boundary of two sizes. If you really can't be arsed to go to a shop, which is fair enough, i'm pretty lazy too, order both sizes then send the other back. Having just said that I've just remembered you were looking at two models which would mean ordering 4 lids. That would be quite a lot of p&p to send them back. Ring up a a reputable shop that stocks them and see if they can give you any advice. If you have a weird shaped head, then it may well be the case that one is definitely better suited to you i.e. i have a narrow head so round helmets don't fit, it may end up being an obvious choice.

Spyderman, is spot on. I fit L in Fuse and XL/not at all in others. Try them on.

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

I tried on plenty, and not only Giro, but only one fitted properly. My OH had the same experience recently - the fit is absolutely critical. We found it very useful, in both cases, to have help from a knowledgeable sales assistant - one in Snow and Rock, the other in Filarinskis. I wouldn't have been sure what fit I was looking for without that help.
