Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

100 people walk 100 meters on 100m skis!

Well first it's Dame Ellen breaking records and now the Norwegians are at it. Who'd have thought this record would be broken (or even existed)....

100 people walked 100 meters on a pair of skis measuring 100 metres in length to celebrate Norway's 100 years of independence since parting with Sweden. Apparently it sets a new world record for the highest number of people walking on one pair of skis. I wonder what the old world record was? Quite how 100 people lashed to the same 2 planks demonstrates independence is something only Noggin the Nog can explain.

Kramer, so would be the turn radius. Perhaps the flying K at Les Arcs would be a suitable venue and knowing the Nogs we could probably find 100 to give it a go. Madeye-Smiley

We told the hire shop "we're advanced skiers" and they gave us skis only 100 metres long - should we try these new-fangled carving things or go back to our old long straight skis?

Bit off topic but more than 40 Australian surfers have successfully ridden a giant surfboard into the record books. Makes this bunch of Norwegian shufflers look a bit sillier than they already were. wink

Newspaper reports of how many riders took part varied between 44 and 47.

But the ride clearly smashed the existing world record of 14 achieved by an English team in Cornwall on an 36-foot Malibu in 2003.

Hyman said the four-minute ride to shore was worth the month-long effort to build the board.

They interviewed one of the blokes on the radio last night, he said there were 45 men who were supposed to be on the board but 2 brazilian women rode up on a jetski and joined in as well, he reckoned it would have been rude to say no.
