Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

ESF Morzine

I don't usually do ski school anymore but due to the fact that I won't have anyone to ski with for one of my ski holidays this season I have been thinking about it. I'm an advanced skier and tend to try and spend most of my time off-piste or doing drills on piste.

For those of you who are at a similar level and have used ESF in Morzine, I would be greatful to get your thoughts as to whether or not it would be worth joining their ski school for the week I am there. Thanks.

Have you thought of skiing with a skiclub rep - they tend to do some interesting advanced and off-piste stuff - http://www.skiclub.co.uk/skiclub/skiresorts/resortrepinfo.aspx?intContactID=44602 and you'll meed equivalent standard skiers.

Rep service in Avoriaz next season but with 10am starts then it shouldn't be hard to get up from Morzine for that time.

Hornster, You could try Mike Hammond at www.skiskills.co.uk or Pete Hughes at www.freedom2ski.com see what they can offer you. Both come recomended by many of our guesties.
Our website has a fairly comprehensive list of the options (with web addresses) around Morzine, click on Winter & then Ski School.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Hornster, another vote for both BASS and Mike Hammond - although Mike doesn't really do group lessons.

BASS are running a variety of "higher end" courses this year - an introduction to race training; "Masterclass performance week" and "All Mountain Training" - all of which are likely to push you.

You could also look at Inspired to Ski, who run courses in Morzine.

Hornster, recommend Joe Beer at www.alpinelearningcurves.co.uk. I usually book him for 3-4 hours for "instructional guiding" around PdS. He's a diamond, and you can tell him I said so. wink Very Happy
