Is there any way i can get two or three days skiing in either just before or just after Christmas for a reasonable cost? Can go mid week or on weekend? Can't be away on Christmas/Boxing day or on New Years Eve.

Check out Mountainsun in Tignes, they do short breaks at reasonable cost. You'll probably be crucified for flights though

garethjomo, of course you can, I often have bookings for the days leading up to Christmas. As we are arriving on Xmas eve ourselves, it suits us nicely.

garethjomo, We can do three days - arriving any day from 11th - 21st December at £129 per person (with a supplement of £30 per person for Fri and Sat nights) INCLUDING set time Geneva transfers (timings designed to give three full days on the snow - collecting 19:30 or later outwards and leaving resort between 16:00 / 17:00 on return for flights after 20:00) and three nights catered accommodation with a hot late supper on arrival night, breakfast and afternoon tea with homemade cakes and a three course dinner with free flowing wine on other evenings of your stay. Likewise after Christmas arriving any day from 4th - 15th Jan same price/w'end supplement.

garethjomo, I'd look to go away just before Christmas. Usually it is quiet leading up to and during the Christmas week and most hotels or owners will have some availability. After Christmas it is very busy and people are unlikely to offer you a few days, you will most likely have to book for a week.

garethjomo, I'm doing the same. Flying into Geneva and spending 4 nights in Chamonix. Return on 24th Dec. Staying at this hotel which like many hotels in Chamonix will let you book for a few nights.
