I have a BASI course in Hintertux at the end of the season.
Can anyone help with advice on travel arrangements and accommodation?

FlyingStantoni, travel is relatively simple - EasyJet fly from Gatwick to Insbruck, from where a regular Postbus service runs via Mayrhofen to Hintertux. Alternatively, take the train to Mayrhofen and then the bus from there. See http://www.oebb.at/ for details of both.
For accommodation, the village website is best - http://www.tux.at/

When I went, I flew to Zurich and then took the train to Mayrhofen, before a taki ride up to Hintertux. It was a good six hours on the train but a pleasant journey nontheless. Others on my course flew to Munich and then got the train/transfer. Ideally the best way would be to fly to Innsbruck and then catch the train but flights seem quite rare out of main season.
A lot of people on my course used a company that Basi were recommending called Redpoint travel (I think?), who put together a deal which included flights, transfers, half-board accommodation and lift passes. Seemed to work out as a fairly decent deal.

You'll need to Register first of course.

If it is after the end of the normal season, and Easyjet have stopped flights to Innsbruck, fly to Salzburg instead and catch the train - we did this a couple of years ago before Easyjet opened up Innsbruck as a destination, as the other options were very expensive.

Flying to Munich, trains to Mayrhofen and bus up to HIntertux has worked well for me, Innsbruck not being such an easy option from Edinburgh. Doing it that way again next month.

Skyhawk, try 4 Seasons Travel they seem to do a lot transfers from MUC to the Tirol.
I'm constantly passing their minibuses on the motorway, summer and winter!

Skyhawk, just looked up what I paid last Feb. The return journey Munich Airport - Kitzbuhel - Munich Airport was 430 Euro. Obviously it'll be more to/from Hintertux. With 6 in the taxi that's OK but if only one or two you might opt for the train.
