Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

OK so the forms seem fairly straight forward in general. My mum speaks fluent french but could not quite figure out one of the requests. Im sure there are people on here who have filled out the forms! so could you please help me to figure this out. This is the passage that we are having problems with, something about the census...

pour les candidats nes en 1979 et apres et les candidates nees en 1983 et apres une photocopie de l'attestation de recensement et du certificat individuel de participation a l'appelde preperation a la defense

If anyone knows what information I should be providing here that would be a great help. Also any other potential pitfalls in the paperwork as I have heard that its not always that straightforward.

Haha, OK. I see, thought it could be something along those lines. Surprised I dont need to do a year national service for the French, maybe thats the next little test they'll bring in though...

Do the French still have national service or is that just a Swiss thing?
