Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Accomodation in arc1800 for 6.

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
My dad has asked me to find accomodation for him and 5 others in arc 1800 for the week between the 2nd and the 9th of january as he and my freinds want to come out and visit me as i'll be doing the 2010 season there. Just over 60 days till december and i CANNOT WAIT!

I've been looking around for a while but i'm not sure what accomodation would be cheapest and suit best. Is a catered chalet for them cheaper than a hotel for the week etc.

They'll all need ski/board hire and passes so that makes me think a package holiday may suit better.

are you working for a TO? If so then what about there accommodation?

Hotels are probably a bit expensive for a week, and you might not find too much chalet/package available in 1800 as it's more self-catering appartments. Here are a couple of suggestions for apartments - although I've only stayed personally in the chamettoger ones

1) P&V - Alpages de Chantel - Built within last 3-4 years, true ski/in/out just up from the Vagere lift (main lift out of 1800 that isn't the transarc or tranny)

2) Résidence Maeva Charmettoger - older block more trad french in design (aka quirky) but again very close to ski in / lift out.

3) Residences Belemont - Located close to Tranny, skin/out should be possible, recently refurbed.

If you want an English TO to work with then Nielsen, Crystal, Thomson, Skiworld (and no doubt more) all offer this resort.

Interestingly a quick google came up with this short list of 4 chalets in 1800, all of which appear to be run by Skiworld, mostly new or newly refurbed all in good locations - http://www.igluski.com/france/les-arcs-1800-chalets_r25693/cha

Enjoy the seson - who you working for?

meant to add - some of those chalets are around the 600 quid mark for the week and coming with 1/2 board and flights, xfrs and accomodation can't be a bad deal. On top of that all they'll have to pay is kit hire and lift pass plus food on mountain and beer tokens, and no worrying about 'who's cooking dinner'
