Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

@DJL, Lausanne black hole? Do you know of taxis are readily available from the Taxi stand at Aigle station that go to Chatel and the approx cost? Seems like a good alternative option if doable.

@Ozboy, no idea about Aigle taxis I'm afraid, we always have a car with us. Might be worth a post on the PDS thread, someone will have done it.

@under a new name Should have dropped him at Aigle and let SBB take the strain.
, good in theory, I did this in January as I didnt fancy the Monday morning rush hour drive to GVA to drop off my mate for his flight. Sadly was all going well until someone decided to throw themselves in front of his train around Morges. He was put on a taxi to GVA but still missed his flight to Copenhagen.

The French side is definitely not always cheaper. Just checking prices for 8 days in June and the Swiss side is £157, French side £216, for smallest car. But French was cheaper at Easter - and my son rented a car which happened to have a Swiss vignette on!

It's always worth checking both.
